1955 CHEVY BEL-AIR CONVERTIBLE "RESTO-MOD"

We purchased this "Award Winning" 1955 Bel Air Convertible Resto Mod from a previous customer and collector of Tri-Fives" We sold him an original 1957 Bel Air 15 years ago (that he still owns) and have stayed in contact with him throughout the years. He called us about wanting to sell this beautiful car and i didn’t hesitate one minute to go take a look and try to strike a deal knowing that all of his cars are extremely nice, but this 1955 Bel Air Convertible Resto-Mod is without a doubt something really special and one of the nicest you and I will ever see or find. Do yourself a favor and CHECK IT OUT!! 

This car was originally built in 2009 but looks like it was done yesterday! Always stored in a climate-controlled facility and meticulously maintained and pampered. It has won multiple awards, and car shows and has been featured in Car Craft magazine. It was professionally rotisserie restored and built with no money spared and with the ultimate goal of having an awesome running and driving dependable show-car, and in our opinion, they absolutely NAILED IT! This car has to be one in the top 5 nicest cars we ever owned and offered for sale.

The body is laser straight, super solid and incredibly clean with perfect gaps and fitment, and the underside of this car is simply amazing! The floors were smoothed and painted to match the outside of the car, and the factory boxed frame was modified, smoothed and powdered coated gloss black. Painted "Porche Red" base/clear that is super slick and smooth with a deep luster and a brilliant show car shine! We just compounded and polished it and added a 1-year ceramic coating to protect the shine too! It also has a beautiful tan "Hartz" cloth power convertible top with a clear zip-out rear window and a matching convertible top boot! All the chrome and trim were redone or replaced new, and it has tinted glass and new weather stripping too.

The interior is simply a work of art! The original bench seats were custom hand-made and covered in light tan glove leather with a suede insert in the backrest. It also has matching door panels and custom fitted carpets through-out! The dash is painted key-color to the car with new "Billet" inserts and a fully functional classic "Vintage" gauge cluster and a chrome "IDIDIT" tilt steering column too. The trunk was also fully finished with matching carpet and leather side panels. It is all VERY-VERY NICE!!

This beautiful car is powered by a crate 454 c.i. - 425 h.p. big block engine that runs strong and sounds awesome! It was recently updated with a "FAST XFI SPORTSMAN" fuel injection system for more responsiveness, smooth start-ups and better fuel economy. The engine bay is highly detailed with lots of show-chrome and polished Billet aluminum too!!  All of this is backed up by a crisp shifting TH-400 automatic transmission with "Lokar" shifter and a Camaro 10 bolt posi-traction rear with a 3:08 gears.

Other features include cold "Vintage" air conditioning, "CPP" 4-wheel power disc brakes, quick ratio power steering, "CPP" tubular upper and lower control arms with "Viking" adjustable coil-over front shocks and new "Viking" double adjustable rear shocks. It also has ceramic coated headers and an aggressive sounding "Flow Master" custom dual exhaust system. She rests on new 20" rear and 18" front chrome "606 Riddler" wheels with new low profile high performance radial tires, a great sounding CD stereo system and so much more!!!
