We love buying back cars we previously sold, and this beautiful 1966 GTO is no exception. We initially bought and sold this car in 2023 to a "Car Guy" who told us that one look and he had to have it, so he bought it. He said as much as he loved the car that life seemed to get in the way of cruising and found himself barely using it and he hated to see it just sit so, he called and made us an offer to buy it back. Nice cars priced reasonably are getting hard to find these days and we knew that this one is really nice, so we happily accepted his offer and bought the car back!! CHECK IT OUT!!
First of all, this is a real "242" GTO that comes with P.H.S. (Pontiac Historical Services) documentation. It has what appears to be an all-original body that is super clean and rock solid including the floors, frame and trunk with beautiful "Mariner Turquoise" base/clear paint. We just buffed and polished it to a deep luster and show car shine and we added a 1-year ceramic coating to protect that shine. It also like-new chrome, trim and weather stripping too.
The "Turquoise" bucket seat interior is also in like new condition including the seats, door panels, carpets and headliner. It does have its original center console with original Hurst dual-gate (His-n-Hers) shifter.
It is all VERY-VERY NICE!
Power comes from a correct "YC" engine that breaks down to be 389c.i. 335h.p. automatic GTO engine but i can’t say its numbers matching because Pontiac didn’t stamp V.I.N. numbers on their blocks until mid-year 1967. I can tell you that is runs really strong and sounds awesome! It is backed up by a crisp shifting TH-400 automatic transmission and the original 10 bolt Pontiac rear with 3:55 gears.
Other features include power steering, power brakes, polished 17" American Racing Torq-Thrust II wheels, Retro-sound stereo with added CD player and lots, lots more!
This is a very nicely restored original 1966 GTO that runs and drives as nice as it looks!! DON’T MISS IT!!
