1969 CAMARO RS/SS396 "X22"

We just got in this beautiful 1969 Camaro RS/SS396 "X22" that was recently "Frame-Off" restored. Purchased from a local (literally around the corner) lifelong "Car Guy" and retired body shop technician who built this car in his garage. He told us that he bought the car years ago (2013) with intentions to retore it but until he retired (2019) never found the time to get it done. He completed the car a few years ago (2022) and only cruised it a few times before storing it in one of his other climate-controlled garages. He decided it was time to sell off some of his collection and contacted us to come take a look. We were truly amazed on how well the car was restored and how nice the car looked, ran and drove so we struck up a deal and bought it. CHECK IT OUT!!
The body is very straight, solid and clean including the painted floors trunk and frame. He told us that whatever sheet metal was replaced the he used either N.O.S. or AMD. Anyway you look at it, it has a very nice body with good gaps and fitment! It was also beautifully painted correct (code-72) "Daytona Yellow using PPG base/clear and i must say it looks amazing! We just compounded and polished it to a deep luster and show car shine and then added a 1-year ceramic coating to protect the shine. It also has all new chrome, trim and weather stripping too!
The black "Deluxe Comfort Weave" bucket seat interior was also restored to new including the seats, door panels, headliner and carpets. It also has a factory console with functional gauge package and an in-dash tach! It is all VERY-VERY NICE!!
Power comes from a stout 454 c.i. big block engine that we were told was rebuilt during the restoration process. We did pull the valve covers to inspect and it all looks fresh and clean so our best guess is that it appears to be true. All we know for sure is that it she runs real strong and sounds awesome! It is backed up by a Muncie 4 speed and a 12 bolt posi-traction rear with 3:55 gears.
Other features include functional hide-a-way headlights (electric Detroit Speed) power steering, power disc brakes, new FlowMaster dual exhaust, 15" SS wheels with B.F.G tires, Retro-sound stereo and everything in-between is brand new! steering, suspension, brake & fuel systems NEW-NEW-NEW!!
This "Frame-Off" restored 1969 Camaro RS/SS396 is a real "X22" coded car. Everything has been replaced, rebuilt or restored to better then new condition and it looks absolutely amazing but best of all, it runs and drives even better then it looks! DON’T MISS IT!!
