We are proud to offer this absolutely gorgeous 1969 Chevrolet Chevelle SS396, recently acquired from a collector who was thinning out his collection. We originally went to purchase another vehicle, but the moment we saw this sinister black Chevelle, we knew we had to bring it home too!

Now fully detailed and ready for its next owner, this Chevelle delivers everything you want in a classic muscle car: stunning looks, big-block power and an aggressive exhaust note. It was built to SHOW-N-GO, and it does both extremely well. CHECK IT OUT!

The body appears to retain its original sheet metal and is exceptionally straight, solid and clean, including the floors, trunk and frame. Its super-slick Tuxedo Black base/clear finish was professionally cut, buffed and polished in our detail shop, bringing out a deep luster and brilliant show-car shine. We then applied a one-year ceramic coating to help preserve and protect the finish.

The chrome, stainless trim, weatherstripping and glass are all in excellent condition, completing the Chevelle’s clean, sharp presentation.

Inside is an equally impressive black bucket-seat interior featuring excellent seats, carpeting, headliner, door panels and dashboard. It is equipped with a center console and staple-style automatic shifter, along with an aftermarket tachometer and auxiliary gauges that are fully functional. From top to bottom, the interior is clean, comfortable and extremely well presented.

Power comes from a strong-running and awesome-sounding early-1970s 396/402 C.I. big-block Chevrolet V8. We were told the engine was recently rebuilt, and although we do not have documentation confirming the rebuild, an inspection beneath the valve cover revealed fresh, clean internal components consistent with that claim.

Performance equipment includes:

• Healthy-sounding performance camshaft

• Holley 750 CFM dual-feed, double-pumper carburetor
• HEI electronic ignition
• Big-tube headers
• Flowmaster dual exhaust

The big block is backed by a crisp-shifting Turbo-Hydramatic 400 automatic transmission with what appears to be an approximately 2,500-rpm stall torque converter. Power is delivered through a heavy-duty 12-bolt Positraction rear axle with 3.73 gears, giving this Chevelle an excellent balance of strong acceleration and street-friendly drivability.
